COUPLES THERAPY
Our highest priority is to work with couples that are experiencing various phases of a relationship, from premarital counseling to empty-nesters and those that find a need to rediscover each other. We can address all kinds of relationship issues, whether it be trust, extreme conflicts, depression, anxiety, mood and personality disorders, sexual desire and intimacy challenges, or any other issue that has made your relationship less than what you want it to be.
DIVORCE MEDIATION
We offer divorce mediation to facilitate smoother, less costly divorces and reduce high conflict, providing an alternative to court decisions. Divorce is hard and it can be very costly. Through formal divorce mediation, we can help you navigate this very difficult process in the best way possible for both of you and for any children involved.
DIVORCE RECOVERY COUNSELING
Divorce recovery counseling can help you navigate through the end of a relationship or recover from this difficult life transition. This type of therapy may be benefical for you as an individual or include your children, helping the family adjust to a new dynamic and/or step-parent relationships.
CUSTODY AND CHILD VISITATION CONCERNS
We have experience in court-involved child custody and visitation issues, supervised visitations, child abuse cases, parent alienation, step-parenting issues, blended families, and other complex and high-conflict family and relationship issues.
THERAPY FOR ADULTS WITH NARCISSISTIC BEHAVIORS
We specialize in working with people who find themselves having problems in relationships because of difficulty communicating, frequent conflicts, high emotional reactions, withdrawal or isolating (silent rage or silent treatments), being accused of being a narcissist, mistreating your partner or children, or struggling with sexual behaviors or a lack of satisfactory intimacy within your relationship. If you find any of these behaviors are jeopardizing your ability to have a satisfying relationship, then we can help you – without judgment. You deserve support and healthy relationships, too.
THERAPY FOR ADULTS WITH CHALLENGING OR ABUSIVE PARTNERS
If you are struggling in a relationship or still recovering from a challenging relationship with someone who has been abusive in some way or just very difficult to live with (due to narcissistic personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, major depression, severe anxiety, or more), we can help you, too.
If you are seeking Christian-based counseling, welcome. At ARC, we respect that faith often plays a big role in our relationships, which means it can play a significant role in seeking support for those relationships, too.
You and your partner’s religious and spiritual beliefs are welcome in therapy, along with your thoughts and feelings.
If you have experienced religious abuse or have no faith affiliation and would prefer to leave these topics at the door, that’s 100% okay, too.
At Advanced Resolutions Counseling, you won’t find therapists who just ask, “How do you feel about that?” and reflect back what you said. While processing your feelings can be an important part of therapy, our main goal is to figure out what to do about the problem and implement effective solutions to improve your situation.
Resolution is central to our name, after all!
Our feelings let us know when we have an issue and that we need practical solutions to those problems.
Utilizing a person-centered, nonjudgmental approach, we tailor our methods — including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as various other methods — to meet your unique needs and make real changes.
